After teasing us with a short video of the Eee Pad Transformer successor, ASUS Chairman, Jonney Shih, showed it off at the AsiaD: All Things Digital conference during an interview with Walt Mossberg. It will be called the Transformer Prime and will have its official launch on November 9th.
Shih confirmed that the Transformer Prime will be powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and Google Android (likely Honeycomb with an Ice Cream Sandwich update to follow). Like its predecessor, it will come with a 10-inch display and a keyboard dock. It will also include a mini-HDMI port, a USB port, and an SD card slot. It will be just 8.3 millimeters thick (presumably without the keyboard dock).
Availability and pricing details (the latter expected to fall in the US$499 range) were not revealed but will hopefully be at the November 9th event.
