Apple today released iOS 4.3. The release comes a couple of days ahead of its promised release date. As usual, it is available through iTunes.
iOS 4.3 comes with a number of new features including Mobile Hotpsot functionality for GSM iPhone 4, iTunes Home Sharing, AirPlay support for third-party applications, and a significantly faster JavaScript engine for the Safari web browser. Both iPad and iPad 2 users will also be able to choose whether the right side hardware switch acts an orientation lock or a mute audio button.
The iOS 4.3 update is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, first-generation iPad, iPad 2, and iPod touch (third and fourth generation only). The update requires iTunes 10.2.1 which was released earlier this week.
