With the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) source code now available, Cyanogen wasted no time confirming that work has begun on a new version of its CyanogenMod tool to support the latest version of Android. The group said via Twitter that it expects to have CyanogenMod 9.0 out in about two months:

In the meantime, work continues on CyanogenMod 7.2 (CyanogenMod 8 had been set for Honeycomb but will not be released).
There is more good news too: Cyanogen is also working to port Ice Cream Sandwich to the HP TouchPad and the Nook Color although this may take a bit more time.
