Dell has released the much anticipated Android 2.2 upgrade for the Dell Streak for AT&T and Rogers Wireless customers. The OTA update comes with a number of new features aside from Froyo itself:
- A new Dell Stage Interface
- Improved performance and memory management
- Adobe Flash 10.1 support
- Live Wallpapers
- Ability to create a portable Wi-Fi hotspot
- An improved more-responsive phone dialer interface
- Enhanced Microsoft Exchange support
Once you have completed the update, you will need to replace the Dell PC Suite with the Dell Mobile Sync software, the new version of Streak sync software.
Note: The update will replace the current ROM image and will erase all user data and programs on your device. Be sure to back everything up before you start. Dell also recommends that the update be done over Wi-Fi.
