7-inch HP TouchPad Go clears FCC

The rumoured 7-inch HP webOS tablet codenamed Opal now appears to have an official name, the HP TouchPad Go, and FCC approval. A confidentiality request means that much of the documentation is unavailable but some details can still be gleaned from what is now available from the FCC.

The Label Location document confirms the model as the Opal and that it is manufactured by Inventec. It also reveals that four models are planned. There will be 16GB and a 32GB Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n) only models, a 32GB HSPA+ model that appears headed to AT&T, and a 32GB 3G model that appears bound for Europe. All models also look to come with a 1.5GHz processor.

There is no word on when HP will officially unveil the HP TouchPad Go but a leaked webOS roadmap suggests it will be in the fall sometime.
