2012 to be last Microsoft CES Keynote

MicrosoftMicrosoft today announced that its upcoming CES Keynote will be its last. It also announced that it will not have a booth at CES 2013 but will continue to use the event to connect with partners and customers.

Microsoft explained that its decision was based on the fact that “our product news milestones generally don’t align with the show’s January timing.”

Going forward, Microsoft will rely on its own events and social media tools to make future announcements.

Steve Ballmer will deliver Microsoft’s last CES Keynote on January 9th, 2012.
