In a short interview with MobileSyrup.com, Tony Lacavera, WIND Mobile’s chairman, hinted at his company’s product roadmap for 2011. Recognizing the increasing popularity of Google Android, he promised that WIND Mobile will offer more Android phones in 2011. He also revealed that WIND is hoping to be able to offer the RIM PlayBook tablet when it comes out:
RIM is coming out with a lot of new and exciting devices. See the PlayBook is going to be an exciting one and we are working really hard on bringing that out.
The interview shed no light on WIND Mobile’s expansion plans for 2011. Earlier rumours suggested that the company will launch in Victoria in March or April 2011.
