WIND Mobile earlier this week announced that it had launched a new Home Zone. Whistler is launching “just in time for many Canadians’ holiday ski trips” and joins the growing list of WIND Mobile Home Zones which already include Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver.
WIND Mobile also announced expansion in several existing Zones:
- Newmarket, Aurora, and King City in the Toronto GTA (as well as improved service in a number of areas)
- South Calgary (Shawnessey, Chaparral neighbourhoods) and Northeast Calgary (Saddle Ridge)
- Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge and a portion of Port Moody in the Vancouver area
WIND Mobile has shed little light on its 2011 expansion plans but it is expected to launch in Victoria, British Columbia, in early 2011.
