Upcoming Apple iPods and iPads revealed?

Apple

Apple looks set to have a busy few upcoming months if iLounge.com is correct. Citing a “highly reliable source”, iLounge.com is reporting that Apple will unveil new iPods, a new iPad and possibly a new iPhone all in late 2010 and early 2011.

On the iPod front, Apple could announce up to three new devices. The iPod nano and iPod touch could both be refreshed with new models. A smaller 3-inch touchscreen display could make its way onto one of these. More interesting is a refresh of the iPod shuffle which could sport a small 1.7-inch touchscreen display.

A second Apple iPad model could also make its debut as early as late this year. As previous rumours have suggested, it would use a 7-inch display.

Less credible is the suggestion that Apple could announce a fifth-generation iPhone in early 2011 (possibly as early as January). Traditionally, Apple has unveiled iPhones in June or July. It’s not clear if this new iPhone will simply add a reengineered antenna to address the signal attenuation issues that have plagued the latest iPhone or come with additional features.

Apple is also apparently working on a cheaper iPhone 4 Bumper case. The current iPhone 4 Case Program would end on schedule at the end of September and a new offer with the cheaper case would then be offered. Interesting is the claim that Apple considered giving away a harder Bumper with every iPhone 4 before it ever went on sale.
