TELUS announced today that it is now offering its customers the ability to buy DRM-free music over-the-air. It is the first Canadian wireless carrier to offer such a service.
Canadians now have the freedom to play back music purchased from the TELUS Music shop on any of their digital music capable devices. DRM-free music expands the TELUS music experience by allowing clients to transfer the music they buy from TELUS to their own electronic devices including cell phones, smartphones or PCs.
More than 2.5 million tracks are available for between CA$0.69 and CA$1.29. Full albums are also available for purchase. Customers who previously purchased DRM tracks will also be able to upgrade them to DRM-free for CA$0.30 per track.
