Past rumours have suggested that the HTC Vision could launch at T-Mobile USA as the G1 Blaze. A new rumour now suggests a much simpler name. According to AndroidAndMe.com sources, T-Mobile has chosen to go with the T-Mobile G2 name.
The T-Mobile G2 looks set to ship with a stock version of Android 2.2 (Froyo) and a Qualcomm MSM7230 chipset. G2 prototypes are apparently running at 800MHz but the production version is expected to run at a full 1GHz.
AndroidAndMe.com also surmises that the T-Mobile G2 could be T-Mobile USA’s first HSPA+ device. Considering that a teaser site is already up, it is likely that the carrier will soon unveil this mysterious device.
