As expected, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is now available from Rogers Wireless.
“The XPERIA X10 builds on Sony Ericsson’s heritage and brings together the best in communication, social media, and entertainment,” said Andrea Gaal, General Manager, Sony Ericsson Canada. “Canadians have been looking forward to the XPERIA(TM) X10 and we’re excited that Rogers customers will be among the first in the world to experience this device.”
The Xperia X10 is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor and Google Android 1.6 with the Sony Ericsson UX customized interface (with signature applications like Sony Ericsson Mediascape and Timescape). It comes with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSPA connectivity, a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, 1GB of phone memory, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an 8.1MP camera with auto-focus and flash, and a microSD card slot.
Rogers Wireless will offer the Xperia X10 for $149.95 with a three-year contract (minimum CA$45 per month), CA$449.99 with a two-year contract, CA$499.99 with a one-year contract, and CA$549.99 with no contract. It is available in Sensuous Black and Luster White and comes with a 16GB microSD card.
Note: As I publish this, the purchase page is not yet up on the Rogers web site but it should be shortly.
