Shaw Communications chooses Nokia for upcoming 3G/LTE network

Shaw Communications today announced that it has chosen Nokia Siemens Networks to build out its wireless network. The new network will be fully 3G and LTE capable using the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) band.

Shaw spent just under CA$190 million to buy wireless licenses some two years ago. Back in April, it announced plans to launch its wireless service in 2011.
