Seesmic for Android now comes with multi-account support

Seesmic

Seesmic has released a new version of their Android Twitter application. There are a number of new features in version 1.2 but the one that immediately caught my attention was the addition of multi-account support.

You can now add multiple Twitter accounts in the application, and cross-post messages at the same time. This means that you can easily navigate through multiple Twitter communication channels and stay in touch with all your followers simultaneously. Moreover, the notifications you will be receiving will announce you of the online activity of your default Twitter user.

Among the other new features are:

  • Remembering Scroll position – Remembers your position in the timeline (can be turned off to always remain on top)
  • A new Extra Large text size option
  • Automatic updating of your profile information
  • Ability to change your Twitter account password
  • Text auto-correction and auto-capitalization in Composer
  • And more

Given that Canada still does not have access to paid apps in the Google Market, it’s great to see a free Twitter app that offers multi-account support. Seesmic for Android could soon replace Twidroid (not Pro unfortunately) and Peep on my phone (especially if a future version adds a widget).
