Citing a “a high-ranking official at the tech giant” South Korean newspaper JoonAng Daily is reporting that Samsung is set to officially announce its Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet at next month’s IFA 2010 trade show. If so, what is Samsung set to announce today?
Reports to date suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Tab (an alternate name could the S-Tab) will be powered by a 1.2GHZ A8 processor and Google Android 2.2 with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface. It will come with 3G connectivity, a 7-inch Super-AMOLED touchscreen display, 16GB of internal storage, and a 4,000mAh battery. Video call functionality is also possible although carriers may have a say in that as well.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab could be headed to Verizon according to a recently leaked roadmap.
The IFA 2010 consumer electronic show runs from September 3rd to September 8th in Berlin, Germany.
