Samsung sells 1 million bada-powered Samsung Wave devices

The Samsung Wave and its bada mobile OS are on a bit of a tear. Sales of the device have topped one million units since going on sale about a month ago. The announcement came via Twitter from Justin Hong, Bada OS project leader and architect.

Hopefully this will translate into additional developer attention and new apps for the bada platform.

In Canada, the Samsung Wave is available from both Bell Mobility (starting at CA$29.99 with a three-year contract) and Rogers Wireless (starting at CA$99.99 with a three-year contract).

Samsung has also sold over 300,000 Android-powered Galaxy S smartphones in South Korea alone. Sales numbers should continue to climb quickly as the Galaxy S is landing on North American shores this month.
