Samsung has outlined its plans to update its Galaxy S smartphones to Android 2.2.
The Android 2.2 upgrade offers voice-controlled GPS through Google Maps with Navigation, faster performance by JIT(Just in Time) compiler. Additionally, further functionalities including Search in-browser, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, improved customization options will be provided with OS upgrade.
The rollout will begin in Nordic countries in mid-October. Other European markets, Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, North America, Africa and rest of the world will follow gradually after that.
The update will be available through Samsung’s Kies, its own software update program.
