It’s not the first time that rumours have floated about suggesting that Nokia could partner with Microsoft to offer the latter’s mobile OS on its devices. It has resurfaced again courtesy of Eldar Murtazin at MobileReview.com.
According to him, Nokia’s new leadership has been holding discussions with Microsoft for the past month. The outcome could be, according to Murtazin, “an entire line of Windows Phone devices that may go under the name Nokia.”
It’s likely that Nokia’s new leadership is looking at a number of options to revive the company’s flagging fortunes. Whether this turns out to be one that they choose to pursue remains to be seen. It would certainly be quite the coup for Microsoft.
