It won’t be a big surprise that RIM is preparing a successor to its BlackBerry Bold 9700. Salomondrin.net has landed a picture of this device, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 running BlackBerry 6.
This confirms that BlackBerry 6 will be available for both touchscreen and non-touchscreen devices (something that had been widely anticipated anyways).
There are no details on specifications beyond the fact that the 9780 packs 512MB of RAM (likely to accommodate the new OS). Does the RAM increase mean that the original Bold 9700 will not get a BlackBerry 6 upgrade? If so, RIM will likely have a few angry users to deal with.
