Days after Rogers started offering the BlackBerry Curve 3G (also known as the Curve 9300), Research In Motion finally got around to formally announcing it.

The BlackBerry Curve 3G comes with BlackBerry OS 5 but is BlackBerry 6 ready. The update will be made available “in the coming months”, pending carrier certifications.
Aside from Rogers, the BlackBerry Curve 3G will be available from other carriers (including Bell Mobility) across the world later this month.
