As expected, Public Mobile launched its wireless network in Toronto today.
We’re happy to announce that our network is now on! At midnight May 25th we turned on the our network in Toronto, giving all our customers unlimited talk and text service.
Public Mobile is offering a plan offering unlimited talk and text for CA$40 per month. As expected, it also unveiled a second plan offering unlimited local talk-only for CA$24 per month. The plan also includes call waiting, call forwarding, and 3-way calling but does not include voicemail and call display (a CA$8 per month extra).
Public Mobile will expand to Montreal on June 25th. Until then, its free unlimited Canadian long distance for life remains in effect in Montreal.
