Palm has released webOS 1.4.1 for the Bell Mobility version of the Palm Pre and webOS 1.4.1.1 for the Sprint Palm Pixi and Palm Pre. The new version is primarily a bug fix release except for those of us in Canada. For Bell customers, webOS 1.4.1 brings the ability to download paid apps.
Among the other fixes and enhancements, you’ll find:
- Bluetooth issue fixed when connecting to supported BMW car kits
- Fixed issue where newly taken photos and videos overwrote existing ones
- Fixed issues in Contacts to address cropping and speed dial issues
- Pinching in/out to zoom out/in now works correctly in Doc View
- Fixed intermittent issue where volume slider appeared onscreen incorrectly
- Browser forward gesture fixed
- And more
For now, the Palm Pixi Plus and Palm Pre Plus on Verizon remain on version 1.4.0.
