The Palm Pre and Pixi are getting long in the tooth and many have begun to wonder when a product refresh will occur. HP has promised big things for webOS since its acquisition but has only teased us with hints of webOS-powered printers and tablets. Now come hints of two new Palm devices courtesy of German certification site TUV Rheinland.com. Listed there are the P102UNA and P102EWW models with Canadian and US certifications.
The original Palm Pre was designated as P100UNA and the subsequent Palm Pre Plus was identified as P101UNA and P01EWW (GSM and CDMA models respectively). The only slightly different model numbers suggests that while a successor is now in the works, it might only be a hardware refresh rather than a completely new device.
A new TouchStone has also received certification from TUV Rheinland.
