New details about the HTC Supersonic have been revealed. A live photo as well as a rendering have surfaced, showing a device very similar to the HTC HD2. But there are a number of differences as well. The live picture supports earlier rumours that it would run Google Android (2.1 with HTC Sense rather than 3.0 as one rumour suggested).
Like the HTC HD2, it will come with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB of internal memory and a 5MP camera. The HTC Supersonic also features a few upgrades over the HD2 including a 4.3-inch OLED display (rather than LCD), a larger battery and an integrated kickstand.
We could see a launch by Sprint as early as sometime in March. Pricing remains a mystery for now.
