Remember those rumours about LG’s upcoming newest flagship Android device? Engadget has learned new details about this smartphone and it looks like LG is not kidding around.
Codenamed Star, it packs a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, a 4-inch display, an 8MP camera capable of 1080p video capture, a front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, and a 1500mAh battery. It will apparently run a “nearly” stock version of Android.
Engadget sheds no light on specific availability beyond an early 2011 timeframe or carriers. Earlier rumours had suggested it could be headed to Verizon’s LTE network. It was back in May that Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam indicated that the carrier planned to have up to five 4G LTE handsets by May 2011, including at least one from LG.
