Motorola announced the Motorola QUENCH with MOTOBLUR today at MWC 2010. It is Motorola’s eighth Google Android-powered smartphone and its first without a hardware keyboard to use the MOTOBLUR user interface. According to Sanjay Jha, co-CEO of Motorola and CEO of Motorola Mobile Devices and Home business:
“QUENCH with MOTOBLUR showcases Motorola’s design heritage by offering a compelling differentiation from the traditional Android experience, giving people an easier way to have more messaging, more Web and more music,”
Very similar to the original Motorola CLIQ, the CLIQ XT comes with:
- Operating system: Google Android 1.5 with MOTOBLUR user interface
- Connectivity: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band WCDMA/HSDPA
- Other connectivity: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 1.5 with A2DP
- Location Service: A-GPS
- Input: Navigation touchpad
- Display: 3.1-inch HGVA touchscreen display
- Storage: microSD card slot (up to 32GB)
- Camera: 5.0MP with autofocus and LED flash
- Battery: 1420mAh
- Other: 3.5mm headphone jack, dual microphones with noise cancellation
The Motorola QUENCH will be available in multiple regions around the globe beginning in Q1 2010. It will also be offered in the U.S. by T-Mobile USA but as the Motorola CLIQ XT.
