Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has indicated that his company is looking to release its first smartphone powered by a 2GHz processor by the end of the year. While Jha provided little more than this teaser, another Motorola executive shed some more light on this upcoming device.
The new smartphone will “incorporate everything that is technologically possible in a smartphone today.” Aside from its 2GHz processor, it will come with an Nvidia Tegra-based graphics processor (with Flash 10.1 hardware acceleration), Google Android, an HD display, support for 720 output, a camera with more than 5MP and a gyroscope.
I’m intrigued but also wonder how the battery life will fare on this device. Or does Motorola have a trick up its sleeve on that front?
There is no word on availability (beyond the end of this year) and price at this point.
