The Globe and Mail is reporting that Mobilicity will launch its wireless network in early June. A source close to the company also reveals that the company will offer an unlimited talk, text, long-distance and data package for CA$65 per month.
Mobilicity president Dave Dobbins would not confirm the rumour but indicated that the launch is not far away:
“We’ve been very tight-lipped about our launch date for very specific reasons. It’s a very competitive market out there,” Mr. Dobbin said. “However, we are measuring time to launch in weeks and days, not months any more.”
Mobilicity received approval to launch from the CRTC last week. It is expected to launch in Toronto first with Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa to follow later on. It is expected to offer a mix of BlackBerry, Nokia and Sony Ericsson devices.
