Mobilicity’s expansion plans will take a big step forward in November when it expands to three additional cities. Chief Operating Officer Stewart Lyons confirmed that expansion to Edmonton, Ottawa, and Vancouver will take place sometime next month but did not provide specific dates.
“We’re on a faster and steeper growth trajectory than any of the new entrants,” Lyons said in an interview in Ottawa, without giving subscriber figures. “We’re growing very quickly and we’re pleased with our progress.”
Mobilicity will also expand to Calgary and southern Ontario but provided no timelines.
Lyons also confirmed that Mobilicity intends to purchase additional spectrum when the next auction takes place.
