Only days after LG announced the dual-core LG Optimum 2X, rumours have outed the LG ‘B’, an incredibly thin Android smartphone (and possibly the thinnest). If that’s not enough for you, the LG ‘B’ could also have one of the brightest displays among smartphones.
A number of pictures pit the LG ‘B’ against the Apple iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S, showing off its thinness and brightness. Leaked display specifications also suggest that it will come with a 4-inch IPS display reaching a brightness of 700 nits (compared to the iPhone 4’s 500-nit and the Galaxy S’ 300-nits).
Hours later, LG followed up with a tweet from their CES 2011 account, confirming the LG ‘B’ (although it has since been removed):
seein is believin! The super slim & super bright “LG B” Android phone. come to #CES #CES11 and see with your own eyes!!
There is no word on when LG could release the LG ‘B’ and for how much.
