Just ahead of CES 2010, Lenovo unveiled the Skylight smartbook.
Skylight harnesses the best of smartphones and netbooks to create a new mobile consumer device. With an eye-catching sleek and slim design, all day battery life, robust wireless connectivity and custom interface with live web gadgets, Skylight is designed to transform the mobile Internet experience.
The Skylight is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and a custom web interface with live web gadgets (18 preloaded including Gmail, Facebook, YouTube, and Amazon MP3). It comes with 3G connectivity (via AT&T in the U.S.), a 10.1-inch HD display, 20 GB of standard flash and 2 GB of cloud storage, Wi-Fi, and an integrated USB storage stick. It promises up to 10 hours battery life. It will be available in glossy lotus blue or earth red.
The Lenovo Skylight smartbook will be available in the U.S. starting in April. It will sell for US$499. It will also be released in China in Europe later in the year.
