Last Nexus One shipment arrives at Google

Google Nexus One

If you want to grab a Google Nexus One (currently the only phone currently running Android 2.2) from Google, you had better hurry. Google today announced that it has received its last shipment from HTC and once these are sold, Google will close its Nexus One web store.

This week we received our last shipment of Nexus One phones. Once we sell these devices, the Nexus One will no longer be available online from Google. Customer support will still be available for current Nexus One customers. And Nexus One will continue to be sold by partners including Vodafone in Europe, KT in Korea, and possibly others based on local market conditions.

Developers will continue to have access to the Nexus One through a partner (details at the Android Market Publisher site).

It was back in May that Google first revealed plans to sell the Nexus One through stores and to close its online store.
