The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) yesterday announced that it will investigate HTC’s patent claim against Apple.
HTC’s complaint alleges that Apple is infringing five of its patents, including cellphone directory hardware and software and power management technology. HTC has asked that the ITC rule to ban Apple from importing iPhones, iPads, and iPods into the US (Most of Apple’s products are made in China).
HTC’s lawsuit came in response to a lawsuit filed by Apple against it back in March, alleging infringement of 20 of its own patents related to the iPhone user interface.
