According to Digitimes sources, HTC has set itself the target of shipping up to 60 million handsets in 2011. Considering that HTC expected to ship between 20 and 24 million handsets in 2010, this is quite an ambitious goal (200 percent growth).
HTC will apparently work with over 100 suppliers to put together its handsets in 2011.
Earlier rumours had suggested HTC was looking to ship about 40 million handsets in 2011. Is HTC suddenly feeling that much more bullish about next year? Or is someone just throwing numbers around?
