We’ve already heard the rumours that the HTC Obsession could be one of the first Windows Mobile 7 devices. Now comes word that it could go on sale at AT&T and T-Mobile USA as the HTC Diamond3. According to WMPoweruser.com sources, it was intended to ship as early as June 2010 but the release date appears to have slipped (perhaps because of Windows Mobile 7 delays?).
Specifications are rumoured to be the following:
- Processor: 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8250
- Operating system: Windows Phone Seven with HTC Sense user interface
- Connectivity: GSM/HSDPA
- Display: 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
- Memory: 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM
- Storage: 4GB internal and a microSD card slot (supporting cards up to 32GB)
- Camera: 5MP with auto-focus and flash
- Battery: 1230mAh
- Dimensions: 112 by 56 by 11.7mm
No CDMA version is planned after sales of the CDMA-based Diamond2 proved to be disappointing.
Past rumours set the release of the HTC Obsession at October. Could this be the updated release date? Maybe we will learn more at MWC 2010.
