HTC today announced the launch of five new smartphones to coincide with the launch of Windows Phone 7.
“Windows Phone 7 is an entirely fresh mobile experience, on which HTC is excited to be going big. We see tremendous customer opportunities with the integration of Microsoft’s most popular services like Xbox LIVE and Zune,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation. “The value Microsoft is bringing to mobile customers around the world sets a new benchmark for the industry.”
HTC also introduced HTC Hub which provides an exclusive series of applications and utilities that include a weather and stocks application, a and photo enhancer letting users apply special effects to their photos.
The five new HTC devices are the following:
- HTC 7 Surround: A multimedia device with slide-out speaker, integrated kickstand, and integrated Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD
- HTC 7 Mozart: Featuring an aluminium unibody
- HTC 7 Trophy: Featuring a 3.8-inch WVGA display
- HTC 7 Pro: A keyboard slider
- HTC HD7: Featuring a 4.3-inch display and a kickstand
In North America, the HTC 7 Surround will be offered exclusively by TELUS Mobility in Canada and AT&T in the US. The HTC HD7 will be offered exclusively by T-Mobile USA and the HTC 7 Pro should be available in the first half of 2011 from Sprint. There is no word yet on whether we will see HTC’s other phones in North America.
