While we are on the topic of HP’s upcoming tablet devices, a separate rumour is suggesting that HP’s webOS tablet (codenamed Hurricane) will come with a capacitive touchscreen that will support digital pen input, allowing for handwritten notes.
This feature could help HP differentiate its webOS tablet from the Apple iPad which relies primarily on touch input. HP’s tablet is also expected to support traditional touch gestures.
The Examiner’s source also indicates that HP has not yet finalized the name of its tablet. While ‘PalmPad’ is likely, it could still settle on a different name by the time it hits the market (hopefully by the end of the year).
