HP eStation Zeen to go on sale in September?

Hewlett-Packard

Digitimes is reporting that the HP eStation Zeen could launch as early as September. While the device is not explicitly named, the description fits that of recent rumours about the Zeen. According to Digitimes, the tablet device will be powered by Android and a Freescale ARM-based processor. It will come with a 7-inch panel (480 by 800), 512MB RAM, and 4G of onboard flash memory. It will also be bundled with a printer with a dock for the tablet.

Digitimes also reports that the project dates back to 2009 and is being managed by HP’s printer unit. While the device may be useful for HP to gauge the tablet market, Digitimes does not expect it to be a strong seller.

No pricing was mentioned in the report but earlier rumours suggest a US$399 for both the tablet and printer.
