It appears that 3G connectivity issues are continuing despite the recent Google Nexus One OTA update. In spite of a “general fix to help improve 3G connectivity”, users are still reporting that the Nexus One drops to EDGE connectivity in areas where there is adequate 3G coverage.
More damning is a video that shows a user able to cause his phone to switch to EDGE simply by placing his hand over the lower half of the phone. Have other Nexus One owners been able to reproduce this (One YouTube video is not proof enough)?
Could an additional firmware fix improve 3G connectivity or are we looking at a hardware issue?
