Good news for the sixty million plus Farmville players out there. The beloved (and equally hated by others) game is headed to Windows Phone 7, according to Matt Thompson, general manager of developer and platform evangelism for Microsoft.
Thompson expects that the integration between Windows Phone 7 and Xbox Live will be a strong selling point for devices. He expects that Windows Phone 7 will eventually become the dominant mobile platform (Can an evangelist say any less than that?).
“Clearly the phone is you, so the most unique thing we’re trying to do is bring XBox Live so you can carry the online ‘you’ into the rest of the world,” Thompson said.
Other games coming to Windows Phone 7 are Angry Birds and Babylonian Twins among some sixy expected to be available at launch time.
