Dell launches Android-powered Dell Venue

Just before Christmas, Dell launched a second smartphone in its new Venue family. The Dell Venue (codename Thunder) is an Android-powered version of the Dell Venue Pro without the portrait-sliding QWERTY keyboard.

  • Display: 4.1-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
  • Memory: 512MB RAM, 1GB ROM
  • Storage: microSD cards up to 32GB
  • Camera: 8MP with auto-focus and LED flash
  • Battery: 1400mAh
  • Connectors: Micro-USB, 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Dimensions / weight: 121 x 64 x 12.9 millimeters / 164 grams
  • Other: FM radio

It is currently only available in Hong Kong selling for HK$3,999 (about US$515). There is no word yet on whether Dell will offer the Dell Venue elsewhere in the world.
