The day before Videotron is set to unveil its new 3G+ network in Quebec, chatr wireless (owned by Rogers) announced that it will launch in Montreal on September 16th, 2010.
“The Montreal market is a perfect fit for chatr. Consumers here are looking for the best value,” said Garrick Tiplady, Senior Vice President, chatr. “We deliver worry-free pricing options, so that Montrealers will be able to freely and simply talk and text, without sacrificing the quality of the network. Imagine never having to think about how many minutes you’ve used or how many texts you’ve sent. With chatr, you don’t have to worry, it’s that simple.”
chatr wireless will offer its two plans: Unlimited talk for CA$35 per month and unlimited talk and text for CA$45 per month with no contracts. Four devices are being offered, starting at CA$50: The Nokia 1661, the LG GB125R, the Samsung Gravity, and the Nokia 2220 (new to the lineup).
chatr launched earlier this summer and currently operates in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa and Vancouver.
