AT&T announced plans today to release five new Android devices from Dell, HTC, and Motorola in the first half of 2010. Three of those, one from each manufacturer, will be AT&T exclusives.
Little information was revealed about the devices. The Dell device is likely to be the Mini 3i recently unveiled for China and Brazil. The Motorola device will be powered by MOTOBLUR and will feature a unique form factor. Could it be the Motorola Motus/Enzo with its flip-up keyboard? Hopefully we will learn more during the Motorola press event. There is no information on what HTC devices will be offered but there are few options courtesy of a leaked HTC 2010 roadmap.
AT&T also announced plans to offer mid-range Quick Messaging Devices powered by the Qualcomm BREW Mobile Platform, a new developer SDK and enhanced developer program, and the goal to offer all major smartphone OS app stores by preloading the appropriate store on each device.
