BlackBerry Curve 3G headed to Verizon on September 16th

RIM BlackBerry 9300 Curve 3G

Verizon Wireless is the latest carrier to announced that it will carry the BlackBerry Curve 3G.

The CDMA-variant (model 9330) is nearly identical to the GSM one (model 9300) but will have dual-band CDMA/EV-DO connectivity. While it will only have 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi (no n-band support), it will have twice as much RAM and flash memory (512MB for each). It will be available in either Charcoal or Fuchsia Red. It will receive a BlackBerry 6 update “in the coming months” once network certification is complete.

It will be available in business sales channels starting on September 16th. It will be available online at www.verizonwireless.com and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores in the coming weeks. It will sell for US$29.99 after a US$100 mail-in rebate and with a new two-year contract.
