On the heels of Rogers’ announcement that it had begun LTE trials in Ottawa comes word from Bell that it is also conducting LTE tests. According to Julie Smithers of Bell Media Relations, Bell began its tests this summer and has completed LTE calls in both Hamilton and Montreal, its two test locations.
Like Rogers, Bell is testing with Ericsson but also plans to test with Nokia Siemens Networks.
Bell did not provide any launch dates but does not expect a launch until 2012 at the earliest.
