Apple has pulled from its website a number of videos that showed signal attenuation on rival smartphones such as the BlackBerry Bold 9700, HTC DROID Eris, and the Motorola DROID X. The page dedicated to antenna issues now focuses on its Antenna Design and Test Labs.
Apple has not provided any explanation for the removal of the videos. Were potential lawsuits or bad PR the reason for the decision? I’m not sure we’ll ever really know.
Interestingly, Apple Canada still shows the videos. They are also available on Apple’s official YouTube channel (although no longer featured).
