Apple continues to quickly expand its iPad distribution network. Starting on October 28th, customers will be able to pick up the iPad from both Verizon Wireless and AT&T stores.
Verizon will offer three iPad bundles consisting of an iPad Wi-Fi model and a Verizon MiFi 2200 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot at over 2000 Verizon Wireless Stores. The bundles will cost US$629.99, US$729.99 and US829.99 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPad Wi-Fi models respectively. Verizon will also offer all three iPad Wi-Fi models on a stand-alone basis.
Verizon will offer 1GB (US$20 per month), 3GB (US$35 per month) and 5GB (US$50 per month) data plans to go with the iPads.
Meanwhile, all three iPad Wi-Fi + 3G models will be available at more than 2,200 AT&T Stores starting on the same day. The 16GB model will sell for US629, the 32GB for US$729 and the 64GB model for US829. At&T will continue to offer its two iPad plans (US$14.99 per month for 250MB and US$25 per month for 2GB with no term contract) but there could be some adjustments coming in light of Verizon’s pricing.
