Digitimes is reporting that the Apple iPad 2 will begin shipping as early as the end of February 2011. Citing unnamed sources, the report indicates that initial shipments could reach 600,000 units.
Apple was apparently hoping to begin shipments earlier but pushed out its schedule as the device’s firmware is still undergoing testing.
Earlier rumours suggest that the Apple iPad 2 will be smaller and will incorporate a number of new features (including a USB port surprisingly).
