Is it me or is there suddenly a flurry of Nokia rumours? Yesterday, it was the Nokia N8-00 and some new product line names. Today, it’s a rumour about the Nokia N98. French site BeGeek has landed a picture ( rendering?) and some specifications of the device not expected until next Christmas.
The image clearly sets the Nokia N98 as a potential successor to the N97. It would come with a 4-inch touchscreen display, a full keyboard (AZERTY in this case) below a tilting display (like on the N97) and 32GB of internal memory. The picture suggests that it would be powered by Symbian. Pricing is expected to fall around €450 (about US$620).
Given that Nokia has already announced that it has no plans to exhibit at MWC, I think that we will have to wait a bit longer to see if these rumours turn out to be true.
