HTC will not be the only company likely to unveil a new 4G smartphone for Verizon at CES 2011. Gizmodo has landed a picture of a Samsung device (model SCH-I520) that is also headed to Verizon as evidenced by the device’s branding. The picture also clearly shows that the device sports 4G connectivity.
Only a few additional details are known about the SCH-I520 at this time. It will run Google Android 2.2 (Froyo) with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI (without Microsoft Bing integration though) and will sport a front-facing camera.
Verizon itself has promised to make an announcement at CES about LTE-powered Android devices.
